lulabox asked: Hy lady! Your ilustrations are very good! You're very polivalent and you handle different styles very good! Are you still exploring your possibillities, or Would you choose one of them?

Hello! and thank you!!

It’s funny you ask this, because I sorta had a meltdown last night about my art and its aesthetics haha. I don’t really know that I’ve “chosen” a style. I like my realistic and mature work as well as my more imaginative and childlike illustrations. I haven’t really found anything that I’d like to call my own. I’m just working until something finally clicks with me and it’s not such a burden that I should even think about.

So, to answer simply, I am still exploring my possibilities!

I’ve been working on this piece for the past week or so. Although there’s a few areas that could use some reevaluating, I like how it turned out ♥

noemigaldieriart asked: Hey! I found you on the radar and I just love you already. I want to be an illustrator so I would to ask you 2 things: first- have you done some "special" courses or university? second- which kind of colour do you use? (I've seen watercolour and some pencils). Thanks so much! Hope you'll follow me one day ♥

Aww, thank you so much!! I currently am attending school to become an illustrator; this Fall will be my third year! I’ve taken many art courses. Two of them have specialized in illustration.
As far as tools, I try not to limit myself, but I love working with watercolors and colored pencils :)

thank-the-fairies asked: When I grow up I wanna be something like you. Bye.

Oh golly, what a compliment! Thank you so much, dear!

lustingnotloving asked: Your art is amazing! I'm in love with it :)

Ahh, thank you so much!!

saltandpepperandcumin asked: Hi Alyssa! I just found your art and I love it! Where do you get all your inspiration?

Hello, hello!! And thank you so much :)

I gather inspiration from a lot of different sources! Nature, music, other artists, and happenings in my life somehow all make it to my work. If you’d like to see some things that I feel inspire me, you can check out my inspiration blog :)

Yowza! Thanks for the second radar feature, tumblr!

I don’t know what’s going on with my art anymore and it’s so frustrating. I’m trying to loosen up my mark making but it just seems so forced and muddy. Any tips or suggestions?
